Our vision.
Anglesey House Nursery was established in 2023 as a family run business in Bridgtown followed by an additional Anglesey House Nursery 2025. Both settings are accredited for the Curiosity Approach providing high quality learning environments filled with awe and wonder enhancing opportunities for children’s learning and Development. The settings provide a homely environment catering for children from Birth to School age and Holiday Club meeting the needs of the children in the surrounding areas.
The management and staff have a wealth of knowledge with over 20 years experience providing early years childcare delivering excellent standard of care and comprehensive and diverse education. We work well within the local community and we thrive when we succeed in developing strong positive relationships with children and their families. We pride ourselves on being extremely honest and caring professionals who go above and beyond ensuring the needs of all our children are met allowing them to learn and develop in a way that motivates, excites and inspires them.

Curriculum.
Through purposeful provision activities and a balance between adult-led and child initiated learning we provide a rich enabling environment filled will opportunities for children to develop their interests and imagination. At Anglesey House Nursery we fully embrace the Curiosity Approach using natural resources and loose parts with the environment being seen as the 3rd teacher. Highly skilled staff have the knowledge, to provide opportunities allowing the children to explore and investigate independently but offer support and encouragement allowing all children to reach the full protentional. We provide high quality provision which meets the expectations of the Early Years Framework where there are three Prime Areas and four Specific Areas of learning. The Prime areas of learning are important for your child’s future learning:
- Personal, Social and Emotional Development
- Communication and Language
- Physical Development
The Specific Areas of Learning through which the Prime Areas are strengthened and applied:
- Literacy
- Mathematics
- Understanding of the world
- Expressive Arts and Design
SEND - Special Education Needs and Disabilities.
At Anglesey House Nursery we understand that every child is unique and we pride ourselves on having a wide range of knowledge on Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. When it comes to providing special education, there are four main areas to be addressed:
- Communication and Interaction
- Cognition and Learning
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health
- Sensory and/or Physical Needs.
We follow the graduated approach using Assess, Plan, Do, Review meeting children’s needs as a continuous cycle and we are confident to ensure that we will involve the appropriate specialists.

My little boy has been attending this nursery for a little over a year. During this time, his confidence has grown so much and he loves going there! My son has communication needs and tends to prefer being on his own to group activities - the staff all work with him really well and will take him aside when he wants to do a different thing to the rest of the group. We're also potty training at the moment and the staff have picked up on his cues for needing the toilet as he can't verbally communicate when he needs to go. I really cannot fault this nursery, and it's been wonderful to see my boy develop and grow while he's been there. The support he gets while he is there is amazing.
We chose this nursery for our daughter who attended from 9 months old. The staff are all so lovely, welcoming and friendly. The care they give these children is expectional. Our Daughter has come on leaps and bounds, and is thriving from the care The care she receives. Nothing is too much trouble for this nursery. Updates everyday are received, as well as what's been happening throughout the week. We so happy we chose this nursery for our daughter, we wouldn't want her to be anywhere else. I can't speak highly enough about this incredible nursery. The staff are patient, caring, and truly wonderful with both the children and the parents. As an anxious mother, I was worried about my son starting, but the team made the transition so smooth. They were always more than happy to take my calls and provide daily updates, which eased my mind immensely.At pick-up, they provide the best updates, sharing details about my child's day, what they ate, and how they spent their time. The staff are attentive, kind, and nurturing, and both of my children absolutely adore being there. It’s truly a place where they feel safe and cared for. I am so grateful for this nursery and the peace of mind it gives me every day.
